We’ve registered our choir and paid a fee to participate. Why do our members have to register and pay individually as well?
We appreciate your choir’s registration and commitment to Hand in Hand Festival! The individual registration requirement is in place for several important reasons:
- Funding the Festival: Hand in Hand Festival is a community-driven event, and the performer registration fees play a crucial role in making it happen. These fees cover various event costs, including venue rentals, equipment, professional workshops, security, and ensuring a safe and memorable experience for all participants. It’s important to note that performer registration fees only partially fund the festival.
- Accessibility: Registering choir members individually ensures that every participant receives relevant event updates, including schedules, workshops, and performance details.
- Accurate Records: Individual registrations help us maintain accurate records of all attendees. This is crucial for event planning, security, and effective communication.
- Inclusivity: Individual registration allows participants to indicate specific preferences or requirements, such as accessibility needs, and dietary restrictions. This ensures that we can strive towards catering to everyone’s comfort and convenience.
- Liability and Waivers: Individual registrations help us manage liability and waivers. Each participant’s registration includes the necessary agreements and permissions, which are essential for the safety and well-being of all involved.
The cost of organising and running a three-day festival, like Hand in Hand Festival, is substantial. While we strive to keep registration fees reasonable, the reality is that the cost of putting on such an event has increased significantly since our last gathering in Cardiff in 2019. These increased costs are due to various factors, including rising venue expenses and our unwavering commitment to providing the best possible experience for all participants.
We want to assure you that the performer registration fee reflects the value you’ll receive from the festival, including access to workshops, exceptional performances, and a supportive community that celebrates diversity and unity. It’s essential to consider that without these fees, it would be challenging to maintain the quality of the festival.
Your support through registration fees is instrumental in bringing Hand in Hand Festival to life, and it’s greatly appreciated. If you have further questions or need assistance with the registration process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team. We’re here to help make Hand in Hand Festival Bristol 2024 an exceptional experience for all involved.
