1/2 hour 1-2-1 Session | Talk about Making Music

17 August @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

These 1-2-1 sessions are aimed at choir organisers. Making Music is the UK association for leisure-time music, with 4000+ music groups in membership, including nearly 2200 choirs. Making Music provides practical resources and services to help members run their choirs, connects members to each other and relevant experts via weekly Zoom events, and is the voice of leisure-time music to politicians and other stakeholders. Their Co-CEO, Barbara Eifler, will be on hand to answer any questions relating to running your choir, e.g. on practical issues like insurance, contracts or PRS, or with regard to ‘personnel’ questions such as recruiting more volunteers for committees, managing and leading change, resolving internal conflicts. If she doesn’t know the answer directly, she will ask her team to find it for you and get in touch. These sessions are open to members and non-members of Making Music, as a special festival benefit.

Book this workshop

We’re thrilled to announce the preliminary bookings for our diverse and inspiring workshop programme at the Hand in Hand Festival! To ensure everyone has a fair chance to attend their desired sessions, we’re kindly asking participants to indicate their first, second, and third choice of workshops.

With a limited number of spaces available, we want to make sure as many of you as possible get the opportunity to join in the creativity and learning. If a workshop proves particularly popular, rest assured we’ll do our best to confirm attendance for at least one of your chosen workshops. Should space allow, you may also be able to attend your second and/or third choices.

To express your interest in attending a workshop, please complete the form on our website at handinhandfestival.org/workshops by 12 July. After this date, we’ll begin the process of confirming workshop spaces.
