The Perfect Brew Ceilidh Band

Get ready to be swept off your feet by The Perfect Brew Ceilidh Band! Dave Byett and Jill Elliot have been creating magical musical moments for dancers for years. Their band’s name is a charming blend of their other musical ventures – The Perfect Cure (Irish Ceili Band) and The Brewery Band.

Meet the Musicians:

Dave Byett – Melodeons (Button Accordions):
Dave is a maestro with a deep passion for traditional English dance music. His extensive experience includes serving as the musical director for NYFTE (National Youth Folklore Troupe of England). Known for his exceptional rhythm and lively tunes, Dave’s music is perfectly suited for the spirited energy of ceilidh dancing.

Jill Elliot – Caller and Fiddle Player:
Jill is a seasoned caller and fiddle player with three decades of experience. She not only calls and plays for ceilidhs but also teaches traditional English, Scottish, and Irish music. Jill runs the Highly Strung Community Band for charity events and teaches both English Folk Dance and Irish Set Dance. Balancing her love for music and dance, Jill calls the dances and then joins in on her fiddle, ensuring everyone from novices to experienced dancers has a joyous, laughter-filled evening.

The Dancing:

Our ceilidh dance is a celebration of inclusivity and fun. It’s gender-neutral, inviting everyone to participate. As you enter, grab a red or blue ribbon and find a partner with the opposite colour.

Listen carefully as the moves are explained and walked through before the music begins. The calling continues until everyone is confidently dancing. We will explore various formations, including circle, longways, and square dances, creating a dynamic and engaging dance experience for all.

Join us for an evening of music, dance, and community spirit. Let’s make unforgettable memories together with The Perfect Brew Ceilidh Band!
